Those who have been inside donut shops have certainly seen what commercial coffee makers look like. One of the primary differences between commercial brands and consumer brand is that commercial brands feature much greater capacity, allowing storeowners to make more coffee at a single time to meet the demand of customers.

 

But prices for commercial units have come down so much that coffee lovers willing to fork over a little extra can also purchase one of these models. That said, consumer versions are more realistic for most people because they provide essentially all of the features the majority of people would ever need.

 

Some popular commercial models require no plumbing and are, therefore, fully portable. Commercial brands also feature multiple warmers so that owners can keep a pot of decaf and a pot of Kona on two different warmers while they are fixing another batch of coffee. For added durability and ease of cleaning, some commercial brands are also made out of stainless steel. Commercial brands also outdistance consumer brands in terms of output. For instance, some commercial coffee makers can make many gallons of coffee per hour, an output that consumer models would be hard pressed to come close to let alone exceed.
