Tea Kettles No serious tea drinker would be caught boiling his or her water in an ordinary pot-particularly if that pot is also used for other cooking functions. The savvy connoisseur knows that the best way to boil water for team is by using a tea kettle.
Tea Kettles come in two types, namely stovetop and electric.
Those who choose the stovetop version simply fill the kettle with water,
place it on the stovetop and then turn on the stove. This version works
just fine. Just about all kettles these days are built so that once the
water starts to boil the kettle produces a whistling sound. So there's
no need to hover over the stove while the water is in the kettle. Those
who use electric versions simply fill the kettle with water and the plug
the cord into an electrical socket in the wall. There are actually two
kinds of electrical tea kettles. Some come with non-detachable cords while
others, since the cord is attached to a detachable base, are not connected
to a cord. The latter kind is more convenient because a tea drinker can
remove the kettle from the base once the water has started boiling.
